A delicious assortment of fresh, live shellfish, fish, French cheese and meats, this restaurant come deli market is run by French people. It is so understated but is now one of our favourite restaurants! Their shellfish platters are brilliant for that special occasion.

Gata

Val De Ceval: On the road to Gata, this restaurant is also home to a collection of beautiful Arabic horses. For best value choose the set lunch menu. Booking advised.

Calpe

Casa Del Maco: http://www.casadelmaco.com/ One of our favourite restaurants for special occasions. Set in a traditional Spanish country home, the ambiance, food & service are second to none. Booking in advance is recommended.

Puerto Blanco: Tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of Calpe, this secluded area is home to this high-end restaurant. Outdoor seating overlooks a beautiful swimming pool, plus the quaint port is close. Check out the ‘hut’ by the water for live music, cocktails and lighter meals.

Javea

Restaurante Masena: http://restaurantemasena.com Located on the road from Benitchatel to Javea in a beautiful, rustic building. You can enjoy their menu (which changes with the seasons) inside or outside on the terrace. We recommend their great value set lunch menu, available on weekdays. Closed on Tuesdays. There are many lovely restaurants in Javea’s Old Town and along the promenade along L’Arenal beach.
